Lake Uzungöl with the surrounding spruce forests offers extraordinary landscapes to visitors. It was formed by a landslide making the stream bed to become a naturel dam in the valley of Haldizen Stream. The lake is at a distance of 99 km from Trabzon and 19 km from Çaykara district.

ACCOMMODATION IN ERZURUM

A 5-star hotel on the Palandöken Skiing Centre will be used as the FISU Headquarters. There will be all necessary units such as banks, bureaus and health centers, free internet facilities, markets, meeting halls, a police station and a post-office in the village.       

Athletes and officials who stay in the Universiade Village will be able to make use of such facilities as fitness centre, swimming pool, sports centers, art gallery, theatre and leisure centers at the university.
