Gaziantep is the largest and the 6th largest province of the Southeastern Anatolia and Turkey respectively with its 1 million and 300 thousand population. Gaziantep has the largest and the most advanced machine-made carpet production facilities of the world. In Gaziantep having 180 million m2 annual production capacity, more than 3 thousand carpet looms operate.
%90 of the machine-made carpet exportation of Turkey belongs to Gaziantep. The leading countries to which the exportation is made include Russian Federation, Germany, France, England, USA, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Greece and United Arab Emirates. The increase of exportation in the carpet sector has also a positive impact on other sectors.

Gaziantep which is tried to be turned into the capital of the World’s carpet market is an important center in the field of carpet and floor coverings.

Gaziantep Carpet, Furniture, Domestic Textile, Durable Consumer Goods Fair which is to be organized for the first time this year in Gaziantep aims at becoming one of the important meeting points of the sector and providing alternative opportunities for the consumers in Gaziantep where the majority of the population consists of the young as well as the neighboring provinces.

Gaziantep Carpet, Furniture, Domestic Textile and Durable Consumer Goods Fair to be organized by Forza Fairs and Organization Services Co. Inc. in cooperation with Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce and Forum Fairs and Promotions Co. Inc will be realized in OFM which is the new fair center of the Middle East region on 5th-9th March, 2008.
